Tanglewood sits inside Continental Country Club on Flagstaff's east side, reached from Country Club Drive by Bear Paw and Valley View Road. Tanglewood Villas, the core of the area, was set up under a declaration signed in January 1983 by Fairfield Continental Country Club & Estates, and its units date to about 1985 and 1986. The MLS area also takes in the Tanglewood Vistas townhomes on Whitetail Way and Plateau Drive, the Mountain Oaks townhomes, and the Walnut Canyon Hills condos.

Tanglewood gives buyers a way into Continental Country Club at a condo price. We read both sets of HOA documents, the complex's and the club's, because the combined dues and the rental rules differ from one complex to the next.

Over the last twelve months the MLS shows 11 closings. The 8 condos sold from $215,000 to $384,000, with a median of $308,500, and were typically about 565 square feet, all built in 1985. Three townhomes sold from $630,000 to $799,000, with a median of $655,000, and were typically about 1,520 square feet. Median days on market was 77. Tanglewood Villas dues rose from about $254 a month on 2025 sales to $295 on 2026 sales, on top of Continental Country Club dues.

Continental Country Club runs the Bear Paw Recreation Center, with a heated outdoor pool in season, a hot tub, and a snack bar, and its golf course and The Oakmont restaurant, in the clubhouse, are open to the public. At Tanglewood Villas, the HOA maintains roofs, gutters, deck walls, landscaping, walks, and parking, according to its management company, and the 1983 declaration bars trailers, campers, and boats on the property.
